Diego Milito believes Inter will thrive in Champions League

Milito and company failed to repeat their 2010 treble winning season last term as they settled for the Coppa Italia, watching on as city rivals AC Milan raced for the league title, while Barcelona scooped the Champions League.

But, the Argentina international feels this time will be different as he underlines the plan for the new season.

"The team will give everything as usual," Milito told Inter Channel when asked about their preparations for 2011-12.

"We have a competitive team and we will give our maximum. Our squad is important and is one with great value and I am sure we will have a great league and Champions League season.

"The team is strong, as is the group here and so we will make the fans happy."

Inter saw their first chance of silverware go begging on Saturday when they lost the Supercoppa Italiana 2-1 to AC Milan in Beijing.
