Maicon is likely to remain at Inter - agent

The Brazil international has been linked with the Spanish outfit since last summer when Jose Mourinho left Inter to take the helm at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Maicon had stated that he would ponder his future after the Copa America and speculation has been rife that the 29-year-old could leave for Spain following Inter's recent acquisition of full-back Jonathan from Santos.

However, Caliendo believes that his client is unlikely to leave San Siro this summer.

"I don't think Maicon will move away from Inter," Caliendo told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's a decision that will be made by president Massimo Moratti.

“If an offer of a certain value does not arrive, I doubt that Moratti will sell him."

Inter have maintained that they will not sell the former Monaco defender, although Goal.com Italia understands that an offer of €20 million might change their mind.

Maicon’s current contract with Inter expires at the end of the 2011-12 campaign.
