Inter's Yuto Nagatomo faces two months out after dislocating shoulder - reports

Sky Sport Italia and Tutto Sport are both claiming the 24-year-old full-back will be ruled out for the first month of the new Italian Serie A season, which kicks off on August 27, due to the injury which they report requires an operation.

Inter confirmed on the club's website that Nagatomo would definitely miss next weekend's Supercoppa Italiana match against Milan in Beijing.

Nagatomo had gone straight to hospital in Dublin before being released in a brace.

The Japanese defender has flown back to Italy where he will have more tests on the right shoulder, and Inter said in a statement on the club's website: “The cause of the dislocation was an unnatural backwards movement of his right arm."

The injury appears to have certainly ruled Nagatomo out of Japan's August 10 friendly with Korea, while his involvement in their third round of 2014 World Cup qualifiers beginning in early September is now in doubt too.
