Tevez representative hold talks with INTER

Both City and Inter will be taking part in the Dublin Super Cup this weekend and Joorabchian regards the tournament as a perfect opportunity for executives from both clubs to sit down and open negotiations over either a permanent transfer or a loan move for his client.

Tevez remains desperate to leave the Etihad Stadium after two seasons at the club and is back on Inter's radar after the collapse of a proposed €45m return to Brazilian club Corinthians.

As Goal.com revealed on Wednesday, Inter are ready to up their interest in the Argentina international but are first waiting for Manchester United to make a formal bid for €40m-rated playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

The Italian club have a long-term interest in Tevez and believe he will fit into their new three-striker system, but accept they can only afford the 27-year-old if they sanction the sale of Dutch star Sneijder. There have been suggestions that the Italian giants may try to tempt City into allowing Tevez to leave on a one-year loan deal.

Tevez was pictured with Branca while on holiday in Sardinia earlier this month but the Inter executive moved to cool speculation by describing the meeting as “fortuitous” and insisting nothing should be read into it.

Tevez has continually spoken of his desire to leave Manchester, mainly citing his desire to be nearer to his wife and two daughters, who live in Argentina. The former Manchester United man is understood to be open to a move to Europe that might tempt his family to join him or, at the very least, provide direct flights to his homeland.

Aguero, who has signed a deal worth €40m including add-ons, has joined Roberto Mancini's squad as a replacement for Tevez, City's top scorer in the last two campaigns, rather than a strike partner for his compatriot.

City have until now insisted that Tevez's asking price for European suitors is €57m, but the high profile swoop for Aguero is expected to soften their stance.

It is understood that chief executive Garry Cook would sell Tevez, who remains the club's captain, for €51m and possibly even as low as €45m if a buyer is not found by the time the transfer deadline draws near.

Meanwhile, Aguero is expected to make his first appearance in a City shirt this weekend as the Premier League side step up their pre-season preparations in the Dublin Super Cup.

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract and will travel to Ireland ahead of games against an Airtricity League XI on Saturday and Inter on Sunday.
